          MIFFLIN MESSENGER – August Edition

Text Box: Welcome to our Second edition of the Mifflin Messenger! Our hope is to keep everyone up-to-date on all things Mifflin Ice Hockey right here in this newsletter. As we prepare for a new season with a brand new league, there are a lot of exciting things going on that you should be aware of. Here’s where you’ll find all the details of our upcoming season but if you ever have any questions, feel free to contact any Board member at mifflinicehockey@gmail.com.

 Play-it-Again Night

 

On September 24th all Mifflin players will receive a 20% discount on regular and sale prices at Play-it-Again in the Exeter Promenade.  This is the time to get your hockey gear.

 
 

The practice schedule has been determined!

 

  • Elementary and Middle School teams will practice every Sunday from 3-4 pm.  First practice is October 5th at the Body Zone.
  • JV & Varsity will practice every Wednesday evening from 7:45-8:45 pm.  First practice is October 1st at the Body Zone.
  • Pre-K to 2 is a cross-ice program run by the EPSHL.  Please visit their website for more info. epshl.com. You are encouraged to participate in Mifflin fundraising activities to offset your fees.

 

 
 
Text Box: PLAYER FEES Each player, Elementary - Varsity, will owe a total of $500* for the 2008/2009 ice hockey season. Payment schedule as follows: Registration, $150 August 15th, $150 September 15th, $150 October 15th, $50 All fees must be paid prior to player being permitted to participate in any games. Sibling discount of 20% will again apply for this season. Send payment to MIH at PO Box 236, Shillington, PA 19607 * Players are responsible for USA Hockey registration and for the $40 fee. In order for the player to practice, a copy of the USA Hockey barcoded receipt must be received on or before the first practice. John Muenster will be at the first practice to collect these receipts. This fee helps pay for insurance that is required for each team. Go to usahockey.com,click on players; register on-line, and follow the prompts.

Mifflin Ice Hockey Gets A New Look!

 

We will be getting brand spankin’ new jersey’s this season. This will not add to your ice hockey costs as we are hoping to get corporate sponsorships to defray the cost. Please be sure to get your child’s jersey size & preferred number(s) to John Muenster.  Email John at mifflinicehockey@gmail.com.

 

Parents!!!  You are able to order extra jersey’s for your use.
