Season:          September, 2008 thru Mid March 2009

Skill Requirements:            This is a Recreational Program to develop player’s skill and knowledge of the game of Ice Hockey.  Everyone plays.  We do NOT Travel.  Girls and Boys are welcome.  No prior Experience necessary.

Levels of Play:          Kindergarten thru 2^nd grade  play Cross Ice October 2008 through March 2009

                                    3^rd thru 5^th grade 

                                    Junior High;  6^th thru 8^th grades

                                    JV/Varsity;  9^th thru 12^th grades

Where do we Play:  Games and Practices are held at The Body Zone and Ice Cap Ice Rink

Leagues:                    We are part of the East Penn Scholastic Hockey League (EPSHL)

League Teams:         Wilson, Muhlenburg, Holy Name, Conrad Weiser,Hamburg, Exeter,

                                     St Basil, Mifflin, Schuylkill Valley, Daniel Boone, Oley Valley

Games & Practices:  the following is an example from 2007/2008 (08/09 season may be different)

                                    K thru 2^nd:     20 games and 20 practices

                       3rd thru 5th:     13 games and 25 practices

                                    Junior High:   14 games and 25 practices

                                    JV/Varsity:      18 games and 25 practices

Coaches:                    Coaches attend USA Hockey Training Classes

Cost:               for the 2007/2008 Season the following costs are noted

                        K thru 2^nd Grade:      approximately $ 425.00, plus equipment

                        3^rd thru 5^th Grade:    approximately $ 510.00, plus equipment

                        Junior High:               approximately $ 560.00, plus equipment

                        JV/Varsity:                 approximately $ 640.00, plus equipment

If you are a new skater or a skater that would like to advance your skill level before the fall season, there is an excellent local ice skating rink that offers ice skating lessons and hockey skills classes.  Ice skating lessons are offered for the individual skater as well as for the whole family.  Hockey skills classes are where you can learn the basics as well as improve your hockey skills.  Check out the website for Body Zone.
